Good Morning,
Wanted to get this posted before I got to engrossed in my card making for my upcoming classes today and forgot to post.
Another card in the birthday series.
This one was done using the Starburst framelits and Balloon Bash stamp sets. They were found in the Occasions catalog but not carried over to the new catalog. We again used Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral inks.
I used the sprinkles from the stamp set for the background, but I think the sprinkles from the Sprinkles of Life stamp set in the new catalog would work. The starburst cutout was edged in Calypso Coral ink after the saying was done using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The word celebrate was colored in using Crushed Curry marker. I just love how the inks, markers and papers all match so well. That is why I like using SU products because everything coordinates together.
Here is a side view of the card.
Used silver glitter paper for the stars and the star framelit to cut it out with. The starburst cutout is put on the card using dimensionals.
Check back tomorrow for another card.
Hugs,
Penny

Good Morning,
Wanted to get this posted before I left to go get ready for my Audience of 1 set I lead every Tuesday. Enjoy today's card.
2nd card in the birthday card series.
This was done using the birthday stamp set Celebrate Today and the Balloon Framellits. Both of these are in the new catalog and in a bundle, where you can save 15% when you buy the bundle. We also used the washi tape sheets to cut the balloons out of which were not carried over into the new catalog.
The ink colors used were Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry. The cardstock used was Whisper White, and Calypso Coral.
Hope you enjoyed this one.
Till tomorrow,
Hugs,
Penny

It is official! I am now a "Rising Star" with Stampin Up!!
A big thank you to everyone who helped me to reach this goal :-) You all mean the world to me!!
I have set my next goal to keep up better with my Blog here, on SU I also have a Blog I just realized, and Penny's Pazazzers on Facebook.
So here is my first entry for the week.
I'm going to start showing some of the cards we have made in our classes. Some of these will be put in the card buffet for you to make if you weren't able to make the original class.
Speaking of classes, I have a couple that are still coming up in the month of June. I have a new product card class that will get you using some of the new products from the 2015-2016 catalog. If you haven't gotten a new catalog yet, please let me know so I can get you one.
Class is:
Thursday June 11th - 11 - 2
Saturday June 13th - 1-4
There are still spots still open in each class.
Card Buffet: This is where you can make as many cards as you like. The fee is $10.00 for the first 4 cards and then a $1.50 for each card thereafter. I have changed the fee and guide lines this time around. Just want to try something different to see how it works. You must make a minimum of 4 cards. Dates for this are as follows:
Thursday June 25th 10 - 2
Saturday June 27th 10 -2
Spots are still open in both.
You can let me know by sending an email to pennynelsn@gmail.com.
Now for a card. I'm going to start with the birthday cards we have made. We started using the flowers from Flower Patch and the Flower Fair Framelits, which were carried over to the new catalog :-)
This was an idea I saw on Pinetrest when I was browsing it during Sale- A -Bration time. It was done using the Irresistably Yours paper. We took three different stamps and used a different color ink for each. Once we stamped the image on the paper we took a sponge and moved the color out onto the paper, which by the time we had done all three colors it gave you this blended color look. The ink colors we used were Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, and Strawberry Splash.
The flower was done in Strawberry Splash and then cut out using the matching framelit from Flower Fair framelits. The butterfly was stamped in Crushed Curry ink, and comes from Nature's Perfection stamp set. It was punched out by using the Elegant Butterfly punch.
The saying was from the Flower Patch stamp set and used Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I hope you enjoy making this card. Again, I'm sorry I can't remember who I got the idea from. I know I changed the ink colors and a different butterfly to what I like to work with.
Check back tomorrow for another card.
Until then,
Penny (AKA mtnestor)

Happy New Year!! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas Holiday! One of my resolutions for 2015 is keep up with Blog better. Here are some pictures of the cards from classes, card buffets, and tags class.
These were the 10 Tags class. As you can see there were a lot of different techniques used to create these. Numerous stamps, punches, ribbons, Linen Threads, and embossing folders.
These were two cards from Nov. class. This used two different embossing folders, framlets , and punches. It also used the Cherry Cobbler holiday ribbon.
Another two cards from Nov, class. These were made using White Christmas stamp set, and Get Your Santa On stamps. Also, used the Starburst framelets.
This group of cards were made at the card buffet. This first card was made using the Nordic Noel DSP and Soft Sky cs. The Christmas Bauble was colored using Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities.
Newborn King stamp was embossed used silver embossing powder.
Gentle Peace stamps were used with Blackberry Bliss cs and embossed using silver embossing powder. A silver glitter star was the only other addition.
These were the cards made in the Dec. card class. My first time to use the spotlight technique. These were both made using Ornamental Pine stamps. Also, Early Espresso and Always Artichoke inks.
As you can see, the Santa card was made to open up and have Santa climbing down the chimney. The card just wouldn't open up enough to see Santa centered in the circle above the Chimney.
So, I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary with being a Stampin Up Demonstrator! It has been so much fun getting to know everyone and sharing life events with you.
I am going to have an Open House so you can see all the new items from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs on Friday Jan. 16th from 11:00 - 3:00pm and Sat. Jan. 17th from 2:00 - 5:00pm. This is a time you can come make a quick project, see the new items and catch up with your friends.
For my Hostess club members, this will be taking the place of our Jan. gathering, so you will be able to put your orders in at this time.

business venture if you bring a friend with you, you will both receive a
small token of my appreciation, and it will give you a chance to sign
up to win $10.00 of your next order. I will be doing 3 drawings after

Good Morning!
Boy Nov. is almost already half over! I have some new classes to announce and dates. I am going to be having a Card Buffet, which is $10.00 to attend and then for each card you make it is $1.50. Which means if you see a card and you want to make more than one of it you can, unlike in class where you make one card of each design. I will be including some of our past cards that we have made in classes but there will be new ones also. The Buffets will take place on:

Wed. Nov. 19th from 10:00 - 4:00
Sat. Nov. 22nd - 10:00 - to 4:00
You can come for the entire time or come for just awhile. Come during those times on those dates. Bring a lunch and come socialize. This is my first one, so I'm sure there will be some "bugs" that will have to be worked out. I have tried to accommodate a gathering for those gals who don't work and also for those gals who do and can only do a weekend
I have also added a 10 Tags/Mini cards class for:
Dec. 1st - Monday 11-2
Dec. 6th - Sat. - 10-1
More details later
Enjoy this cool weather
