Had a great Holiday Open House today :-)  A big thank you to all who attended.  There are still spots open for all the classes coming up.  The autumn class is this Thursday at 11 - 2 and Sat. 10 -1.  Let me know if you are interested in attending.

The card today is the last one we did in the last class.
c
We started with Early Espresso as the base card .  Then Crumb Cake is the next layer. Using Cajun Craze we used the Brick Wall embossing folder.  That was layered on top of Crumb Cake cardstock. Next we stamped on Very Vanilla using Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso ink to stamp the leaves with using stamps from Vintage Leaves.  The dots in the background were done with Crumb Cake using Gorgeous Grunge stamp.  Early Espresso satin ribbon was used over the middle of the card.  The saying came from the  stamps set One Big Meaning.  It was punched out using the Washi Label punch.

I have added a Hostess code for the month of September which is 739M64FX.  If you put in an order this month $25.00 - $149.00 be sure and use this code. You will than be receiving a free gift from me and you can have it come directly to your house.  If it is $150.. or more you become the hostess so you can  receive the Stampin Rewards, but still a free gift from me for ordering.

Hugs,
Penny

Hope you are enjoying your Sat.  It was brought to my attention that I put an incorrect time for the Oct. 10th class.  Instead of starting at 10 it is starting at 2 - 5!!
The card today uses a tree from Lovely as a Tree stamping off once using Early Espresso ink.  The card front is Tip Top Taupe cardstock.  The middle insert uses Cajun Craze cardstock put through the Woodgrain embossing folder.  The two circles were cut out with the circle framelits.  Early Espresso is the big circle and Very Vanilla is the small circle. Use Early Espresso seam binding wrapping it around the middle piece before you adhere it to the card, and Early Espresso ink for the saying.

Good Morning,

Today's card features another one where I got my idea from one I received at one of the swaps at the Stampin Up convention.  I changed it around by doing a technique that was shown to us at the convention using the Timeless Elegance DSP (Designer Series Paper).

Using a sponge dauber I lightly inked the roses, leaves and background using Daffodil Delight, Watermelon Wonder and Garden Green. Cardstock used was Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Daffodil Delight,
and Basic Black.  I used Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

This is a close-up of how the paper looked when inked.  I also used the Washi Label Tape punch to punch out the sentiment Thinking of You which comes from the stamp set Crazy About You.

Good morning!  Wow did we have rain this morning!  Loved laying in bed and listening to it :-)  Sorry I have been gone for a few days, but I've started subbing for KatyISD again this year.  Also my Praise and Worship team has started doing a once a month set at a local Senior home for Alzheimer patients.

The card today is from the last class I did in August.  I will be sharing the cards from this class for a few days.  Some of these cards will be on my card buffet on Oct.1st or 3rd. Let me know if you are interested in coming :-)

t
I saw this idea from one of the cards I received at one of the swaps I was in at SU convention this year, and it had no name on it. I changed the colors to more Fall colors.

The stamp set I used was the Garden in Bloom set.  This is a two step stamp set.  First, stamp all the outlines with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then use Rose Red to stamp the inside of the flower.  Make two of these flowers having one stamped on the card and the other one being stamped on scrap of Whisper White paper and then cut out with scissors. (fussy cut) Then do the same with the butterfly using Bermuda Bay ink stamping two, one on the card and a separate one to be cut out. Old Olive ink is used for the large and small leaves, and the stem.  Color in the butterflies with Daffodil Delight Stamp Write Marker.  The saying is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the Word Window punch is used to punch it out.  I liked the layering effect of using Rose Red, Bermuda Bay, Early Espresso, and Whisper White cardstock.

Here is a list of supplies I used:
Stamps:
Garden in Bloom - 139433
Teeny Tiny Wishes - 127802

Ink:
Rose Red - 126954
Bermuda Bay - 131171
Old Olive - 126953
Momento Black  - 132708

Cardstock:
Early Espresso - 119686
Bermuda Bay - 131197
Rose Red - 102544
Whisper White - 100730

Other supplies:
Stampin Dimensionals - 104430
Word window Punch - 119857
SNAIL adhesive - 104332

I have added a Hostess code for the month of September which is 739M64FX.  If you put in an order this month $25,00 - $149 be sure and use this code. You will than be receiving a free gift from me and you can have it come directly to your house.  If it is $150.. or more you become the hostess so you can  receive the Stampin Rewards, but still a free gift from me for ordering.

Happy Saturday and the start of Labor Day weekend!

I was at a retreat a couple of weeks ago and put together the Watercolor Wishes card kit.  Today I'm going to show you what the cards look like when all completed.  The kit contains materials to make 20 cards, and all the accessories you will need including 2 ink spots, an acrylic block, washi tape, decorative wood elements, envelopes for all cards, and the STAMPS are also included in this kit!

I tried to get them all in a picture at one time but my camera skills aren't quite that good enough, but I'm learning more each time a take pictures for this blog :-)

As you can see there is a variety of different sizes of cards that you make. You have some of the wood elements left over and a few flowers, leaves, and other accessories such as the ink spots, and the stamps to continue to use to make other cards.   I had fun putting these together, and it didn't take but about 2 hours. It probably wouldn't take that long when you have no interruptions.

Going to be working on getting samples done for my Holiday open house on Sept. 25th and 26th this long weekend :-)

Till next time big HUGS!!

Yea It's Friday!  A 3 day weekend coming up :-) I love this next card!  I'm in love with this new stamp set!!

I saw this idea on Pinterest but can't remember whose site I saw it on to give credit to.  I used the new Brick Wall embossing folder (138288) with Whisper White paper, and than used the Soft Suede write marker to make it look like the grout in-between the bricks. (131261)  Mint Macaron cardstock (138337) and ink (138326) were used on this card.  Alot of stamping off was used this time. The vine was using Butterfly Basics ( 137154) and  butterfly is Watercolor Wings (139424) and used the Bold Butterfly Framelits ( 138135) and  Butterflies Thinlits. (137360).  The sentiment was punched out using the new Washi Label punch.

As you can see there are two butterflies both done the same the top one used the intricate butterfly thinlit.

Hope you enjoyed this.

Till tomorrow :-)

Good morning,

Here is another card from the class that I did before SU Convention.  I also used this one as just a general swap at the convention.
I loved making this card.  The stamps used were Over the Rainbow (138770) and the cloud from Sprinkles of Life (139971) I punched the clouds out with the new Tree Builder Punch (138295).  The inks I used were Real Red (126949), Garden Green (126973), Elegant Eggplant (126969), Island Indigo (126986), and Delightful Dijon (138327) which is one of the in-colors for 2015-2017. The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxcedo Black Ink.(132708).

It was brought to my attention that I didn't have the rainbow colors in the correct order, so I did the ones for my swap in this color combination.
One of the other cards I took for swaps was the one using the Hexagon Hive Thinlits (132965).  I put this on June 16th.

The top view is the full card, and the other views are close ups of the flowers and the butterfly.

Hope you enjoyed these cards.

Good morning :-)

Hope you enjoyed looking at the new products yesterday!  Today I'm going to continue showing you some of the cards we have made in my classes.

The first one was from the class just before SU convention in July.  In fact, it is the card that I made the fronts of for my 52 card swap for the SU Convention.
I used the sentiment stamp from Garden In Bloom ( 139433).  The flowers and vine came from a Hostess set Floral Wings. (139169) The butterflies were punched from Daffadil Delight, Pink Pirouette, and Mint Macaron cardstock.  I used the Spring Flowers embossing folder and realized it had retired.  I could've used the Fluttering (139304)  embossing folder, but didn't have it yet. I used a sponge dauber (133773) and Pink Pirouette ink (126956) to highlight the embossed part.  I also liked the Pink Pirouette Seam binding Ribbon ( 134574).  Whisper White (100730) and Pink Pirouette (111351) cardstock were also used.

I will be showing you more examples tomorrow from this class.

Penny

I want to share with you some pictures of some of the new products in the Stampin Up Holiday catalog!

This is some of the new designer paper:
Home For Christmas - paper with the Santas on it - pg. 9
Winter Wonderland Specialty -pg 23
Season of Cheer - pg. 29
Holiday Fancy Foil - pg. 32
Into the Woods - pg. 43
Red Foil sheets - the one with the glare from the plastic it is in - pg. 26

These are some of the Accessories.precision base plate, thinlits, embossing folders, ribbon, punches, doilies, buttons and wooden elements.

The next groupings are the stamps :-)

As you can see I had problems choosing!!  I will show you some closer up views of them.

The Lighthearted Leaves stamps also will work with the Leaflet Framelets.  The Dove of Peace only comes in wood, but it is just gorgeous.  Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of the entire stamp, so look on pg. 20 of the catalog.

I ended up buying a lot of bundles this time.  This is one of the best Holiday catalogs that they have come out with in a long time :-)

Remember, you can shop online, or get in touch with me when you would like to order these goodies.  I will definitely be including these in my classes and the Holiday Open House Sept. 25th Friday and 26th Saturday.

Hope you enjoyed this preview!

Hugs,
Penny
